NEW YORK â€“ June 2, 2011 â€“ A star-studded Menâ€™s field heads into the final weekend at the French Open. Defending champion Rafael Nadal has won five French Open titles, and with a win this year will tie Bjorn Borg with the most menâ€™s French Open championships in the Open era. Novak Djokovicâ€™s unbeaten streak to start the year stands at 41 matches and with his first-ever French Open title will surpass John McEnroeâ€™s best start to a year with 42 consecutive matches won in 1984.
NBC Sports presents live coverage of the French Open menâ€™s finals on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Nadal, who has won five of the last six French Opens must first get by No. 4 seed Andy Murray in one semifinal round tomorrow. Djokovic can tie McEnroeâ€™s record with a win against No. 3 seed Roger Federer in the other semifinal.
NBC Sports will provide live coverage of the Federer-Djokovic menâ€™s semifinals to the Eastern Time zone tomorrow beginning at 11 a.m. (all time zones) with live streaming coast-to-coast on NBCSports.com.
On the womenâ€™s side, defending champion Francesca Schiavone, the No. 5 seed, takes on No. 6 seed Li Na who is seeking to become the first Chinese tennis player to win a Grand Slam event. Live coverage of the womenâ€™s final begins Saturday at 9 a.m. ET.
Host Ted Robinson anchors NBCâ€™s coverage from Roland Garros, joined by analysts John McEnroe and Mary Carillo.

NBC AND THE FRENCH OPEN: In 1975, NBC became the first American television network to provide coverage of the French Open when the network signed a three-year deal with the French Tennis Federation. The tournament was covered by CBS from 1980-82 and returned to NBC in 1983, where it has remained since.
