“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

Hi Theresa, Just this week I have lost a very dear friend. There is no viewing but there will be a memorial service at a later date. I didn’t get to say goodbye and I am having a hard time dealing with this loss. I guess I am wondering if maybe some day you could help me by being in contact with his spirit. Theresa, I’m wondering if my young daughter has “medium” capabilities. My father was visiting here last summer(and was ill) and she looked at us and told us she had a new “friend” and his name was Carry (Carry is my father’s long since deceased uncle and we NEVER talk about him as we NEVER knew him) and then she went on to talk about other things. In less than 1 month my father passed. It still leaves me and my family wondering if she didn’t see/hear him waiting for my dad. Watching your show has caused us to wonder even more.

I don’t feel I need to defend Theresa, but Brama your way off on your statement. Apparently you have not met a real medium and you should set up an appointment to see her, maybe Theresa would be willing to see you at no charge. I too, am a medium like Theresa, I have been since I was 7 years old, it was at that age that I first had my experience with the other side and at first is was very frightening because I didn’t understand it. Like Theresa, I get messages all the time and yes I pass them on. I’m not a person who advertises it or does it for a living, it is a gift that was given to me to help people as well. I have friends and family members who still get freaked out by the information that I receive and pass it onto them. I’m not a person who likes to upset people, I like to help them. I lost so many people in my life; sometimes I think I have more people gone, than those that are here. My son (18 years old at the time) passed away just over 14 years ago now, but I think about him everyday, sometimes with debilitating grief. I also lost a baby daughter before she was born 3 years before that. My youngest brother passed a month after my son passed. I lost my dad a few years ago before that, and my mom less than a year ago. A favourite maternal aunt and (my uncle) her husband before that. Some other siblings as well. There are so many things I want to know, especially regarding my precious son and daughter and my youngest brother and I want to know if any of them are coming back before it’s my time to go.

Hi Theresa, I have lost a few poeple in my relatively short life 1)my grandmother on my fathers side when i was very young 2)my first child when i was only 20 3)My first husband when i was 21 4)My grandfather when I was i think 27 5)My oldest living daughters father when i was about 29 or 30. I feel this causes me to to lack control of my emotions and I think of them all too often. I feel I have disappointed any one of them by not being the best person i could be to myself,children and my husband now. Victoria is adorable, Larry Sr and Jr are typical guy laughs. Even my husband admits, reluctantly, that he enjoys your show because it isn’t all so serious. Theresa I lost my grandson on Nov 1st 2008 and I hear and feel his presence all the time. My daughter however has had a terrible time dealing with his death and has had many breakdowns with drug abuse I wish there was a way I could help her realize he is okay and that he doesn’t want her to be this way.
