Had it up to here with the falling leaves, falling temps and holiday madness that’s tapping on your shoulder? TLC has a pair of programs to warm your heart and make you swoon like springtime.

On Oct. 14 and Oct. 21, the network will air special episodes of Say Yes to the Dress that are all about the happy ending for a few fan favorites and a rock ‘n’ roll bride whose heart is as big as her tough-and-tender personality.

Tomorrow night, the network premieres its first-ever hourlong special, Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day  that follows fan-favorite Kelly Miller — who found the perfect gown for her proudly buxom frame during Season 1 of of Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss — as she embarks on planning an equally exquisite wedding.

Join Kelly on her journey as she juggles the opinions and emotions of her parents and fiance Roger, struggles with lingering body issues and finally arrives at the day of her dreams.

The following Friday, on a rock ‘n’ roll edition of Say Yes to the Dress, the ultra-charismatic Dale Rossington — wife of Lynyrd Skynyrd founder and guitarist Gary Rossington — comes to Kleinfeld searching for a dress that will truly make her feel like a bride as she and Gary renew their vows after 30 years of marriage.

Telling the staff that she was the one to propose to her husband two years after the 1977 plane crash that killed three of Gary’s bandmates and injured him horribly — and that she wore a department-store dress to the ceremony — Dale is looking for a romantic gown with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. She has her eye on a splendid white Monique Lhullier, but there’s just one problem.

“She usually wears either black, black or black,” says daughter Mary Elizabeth.

So when consultant Debbie takes a chance on a funky black Pnina Tornai, Dale is tempted.

Does Dale said yes to her fantasy dress — or does she give in to the lure of her favorite shade? Tune in Oct. 21 at 9pm for this touching, funny and uplifting episode of Say Yes to the Dress.

Say Yes superfans take note — this episode also features Danielle Pacello whose cancelled nuptials 4 years ago left her $11,000 custom ballgown on the hanger and the Kleinfeld staff promising her that she had the right dress, just the wrong gent. Now Danielle’s back and newly-engaged to her brother’s best friend. Find out if Joan and friends were right — or if Danielle ultimately says yes to a completely new dress.

  1. Congrats Kelly,
I was surprised to be enjoying bridal TV show.
Your mother and I should get together, her and I have very similar experiences. I had to go stand a foot away from the screen as I related to the ‘feel left out’ lunch/crying scene. (even though I have not been left out) Love and smiles to all of you.

  2. That Prince Charming has all the luck, Dale could make a potato sack look good. Congrats to the Rossington’s!

  3. Omg! I love you! You are the funniest and most lovable bride I have seen on tv in so long! I must say that you are you hubby should last forever, when you were at your cake tasting I couldn’t stop laughing at how you wanted to make him a part of it but he couldn’t get a word in edge wise because he really just wanted what you did. Good for the both of you I hope that you too are happy forever, your wedding will be amazing, guaranteed! Congrats and good luck!
