TV Asia brings you Season 2 of “Celebrity Cricket League”

It’s back and it’s on TV Asia. Celebrity Cricket League returns for its second annual season of league play, bringing together two of India’s greatest passions — cricket and movies — as each team comprises Bollywood stars and South Asian celebrities.

Each weekend from Jan. 21 to Feb. 12, Celebrity Cricket League viewers can partake in matches the same day as in India, as matches will be time-shifted for the US. Participating teams include the Mumbai Heroes, Bengal Tigers, Kerala Strikers, Telugu Warriors, Chennai Rhinos and Karnataka Bulldozers. Amid the rosters of these teams, you’ll find familiar Bollywood names like Bobby Deol, Ritesh Deshmukh and Suniel Shetty.

Two matches will air each Saturday and Sunday, from 10:30am-6pm EST, until the LIVE final which takes place Sunday, Feb. 12 at 7:30am EST. (Note the time: This is a LIVE event, and you might wish to set your DVR to catch it.)

Footage of the Celebrity Cricket League Season 2 kick-off event will also be aired, which featured appearances by Salman Khan, Suniel Shetty, Sonakshi Sinha, Kangana Ranaut, Bobby Deol, Ritesh Deshmukh and performances by Atif Aslam and Devi Sri Prasad, and others.
