2012 French Open Finals begin Saturday on NBC

The French Open finals have Maria Sharapova vs. Sara Errani on Saturday and Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal on Sunday, both on NBC.

No. 2 seed Maria Sharapova has a chance to complete a career Grand Slam on Saturday as she takes on No. 21 seed Sara Errani of Italy for the French Open women’s singles title. Sharapova also reclaimed the world No. 1 ranking.  If she wins on Saturday, Sharapova will become the 10th woman to complete the career Grand Slam. NBC has coverage of the women’s final on Saturday, June 9, beginning at 9am ET.

On the men’s side, the match everyone hoped for materialized as No. 1 Novak Djokovic will take on No. 2 Rafael Nadal in the final. History will be made either way, as Djokovic has the chance to become the first man in 43 years to win four straight Grand Slam titles, while Nadal could become the first man to win the French Open seven times. NBC has coverage of the men’s final on Sunday, June 10, beginning at 9am ET.
