Compulsively hoarding Elvis impersonator begins new season of TLC’s “Hoarding: Buried Alive”

TLC’s Hoarding: Buried Alive begins Season 4 July 8 at 9pm E/P, again revealing the heartbreaking and astonishing stories of extreme hoarders and following as the subjects meet with experts, revealing the psychology behind their obsession that has made daily existence unbearable. Season 4 will consist of 18 episodes, with the first nine premiering in July and airing Sundays, and the next nine airing in 2013.

Season 4 begins with the story of 51-year-old Cary, who is both a compulsive hoarder and and Elvis impersonator. Over the course of two decades, Cary’s paralyzing obsession with Elvis has taken over every inch of his 600-square-foot apartment on the outskirts of Manhattan. Now, with a home virtually uninhabitable and a bank account almost empty, Cary faces the possibility of parting ways with his memorabilia — an obsession that has crossed over into the realm of compulsive hoarding.
