Baseball’s best head to Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City for the 2012 MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 10, at 7:30pm ET on FOX. In the American League, top vote getters included Prince Fielder, Adrian Beltre, Josh Hamilton, Derek Jeter, Mike Napoli and David Ortiz. For the National League, fans cast ballots for the likes of Joey Votto, Dan Uggla, Carlos Beltran and Ryan Braun. All-Star Game MVP Fielder, then with the Milwaukee Brewers, helped the NL win its second straight Midsummer Classic last year with a three-run homer in the 4th inning.
FOX’s Joe Buck and Tim McCarver call the game, with Ken Rosenthal reporting. Also joining the broadcast is FOX newcomer Erin Andrews, formerly of ESPN, who will report from the dugouts. FOX will also use an updated and improved version of “Diamond Cam,” a miniature camera embedded into different areas of the field.
