“Days of Our Knives” programming block brings iconic soap stars to Investigation Discovery

Happy news, soap fans! Josh Lewis and Reva Shane are coming back to daytime TV! And John Black and Hope Williams Brady, too (aw, no Bo?)! And Jack Deveraux, Scotty Baldwin, Bobby Spencer, Lucy Coe and other iconic faves.

And they’re all on the same channel, too!

OK, the actors who played those iconic soap characters are back — as hosts of Investigation Discovery’s new five-week daytime programming block “Days of our Knives” which premieres Monday, Aug. 20 at 1pm ET/PT. Recognizing that we ladies are crazy about the net’s original true-crime programming — and hoping to lure devoted daytime fans eager to reunite with their heroes — ID will air four-hour blocks of its most popular shows, grouped by theme and hosted by soap legends whose characters were experts in the trouble du jour.

Here’s when to watch for your favorite stars:

• Tainted Love Week – August 20-24: Hosted by Robert Newman and Kim Zimmer, Guiding Light‘s Josh Lewis and Reva Shayne.

• Wicked Women Week August 27-31: Hosted by Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe, General Hospital)Jacklyn Zeman (Barbara “Bobbie” Spencer, General Hospital) and Judi Evans (Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis, Days of our Lives).

• Revenge Week September 3-7: Hosted by Drake Hogestyn and Kristian Alfonso Days of our Lives’ John Black and Hope Williams Brady.

• Bad Boys Week September 10-14: Hosted by Matt Ashford (Jack Deveraux, Days of Our Lives) and Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin, General Hospital).

• Double Lives Week September 17-21: Hosted by Laurence Lau and Alicia Minshew, All My Chidren‘s Greg Nelson and Kendall Hart.

• Family Secrets Week September 24-27:  Hosted by Austin Peck and Terri Conn, As the World Turns‘ Brad and Katie Snyder who are married in real life, too.

The network also announced the Sept. 8 premiere of a soap-centric new primetime offering, Deadly Affairs, hosted by The Queen of Daytime herself, Susan Lucci. Read our exclusive interview with La Lucci here!
