ESPN Monday Night Football 2012 schedule

The 2012 season debut of ESPN’s Monday Night Football is Monday, Sept. 10, at 7pm ET, featuring a doubleheader of AFC divisional rivalry games with the Cincinnati Bengals at the Baltimore Ravens in the first game and the San Diego Chargers at the Oakland Raiders in the second. In last season’s playoffs, the Bengals were ousted in the first round by the Houston Texans and the Ravens lost a heartbreaker to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. The Chargers and Raiders both went 8-8 and missed the playoffs in the mediocre AFC West — a tiebreaker handed the division title to the 8-8 Denver Broncos. Play-by-play commentator Mike Tirico and analyst Jon Gruden will call Bengals-Ravens with new MNF reporter Lisa Salters. Chris Berman — calling his first regular-season NFL game (brace yourself) — and Trent Dilfer work Chargers-Raiders with sideline reporter Rachel Nichols.

Other MNF season highlights include Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos at the Atlanta Falcons (Sept. 17), Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at the Seattle Seahawks (Sept. 24), Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears at Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys (Sept. 30), a battle of NFC contenders with Chicago at the San Francisco 49ers (Nov. 19), a top AFC matchup with the Houston Texans at the New England Patriots (Dec. 10), and the MNF season finale on Saturday, Dec. 22, with Atlanta at the Detroit Lions.

You’ll be seeing and hearing a lot of The Rolling Stones throughout the MNF season, as ESPN is teaming up with the legendary rock band on Legend to Legend, commemorating the Stones’ 50th anniversary.
