Telemundo to air Mexico vs Guyana World Cup qualifier

Deportes Telemundo will be airing live coverage of the Mexico vs Guyana FIFA World Cup qualifying match this Friday, Oct. 12, beginning at 8pm ET. The game will take place at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, and will be called by Andrés Cantor, with Sammy Sadovnik. There will also be a pregame show with special reports, interviews, and expert commentary and analysis.

Mexico’s coach, José Manuel de la Torre, announced a lineup featuring young players like Carlos Peña from Club León, Hector Herrera from Pachuca, Diego Reyes (pictured) from América and Jorge Enríquez from Chivas. The Mexican team has consolidated its position as the CONCACAF giant after winning the Copa de Oro, the Gold Medal in the Pan American games and, most recently, the Olympic Gold Medal in London 2012. The team is currently leading the CONCACAF Group B with 12 points.

Following Mexico vs Guyana, stick around for more soccer as Telemundo will also be airing one of its usual Friday matches featuring Club León. This week, Club León takes on Tigres, with live coverage on Telemundo.
