Regis Philbin talks with Joy Behar about Michael Strahan, Mitt Romney

Things just don’t seem real until we find out what Reege has to say about them, right? Well, OK, maybe it’s not as bad as all that, but Regis Philbin’s retirement has definitely left a void on television, this despite his frequent appearances since leaving Live. On Monday he dropped by Joy Behar’s Say Anything gabfest on Current and responded to GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s recent decision to not appear on The View with those “sharp tongued” women, and gave his 2 cents about his replacement on Live, former NFLer Michael Strahan.

In typical Regis fashion, he was gracious and funny, noting that Romney’s “sharp tongued” characterization of The View ladies was “right on,” and that Strahan was “charming,” and “the right move for them.”
