“For years, I have worked within various Gypsy communities as a designer, creating custom dresses and outfits to celebrate many of life’s momentous occasions,” says Sondra Celli, the show’s go-to dressmaker, of her loyal clientele. “I have dressed children from birth to adulthood, replacing baptismal gowns for bridal gowns. Over time, many became friends and allowed me the opportunity to experience their culture firsthand. I have attended their parties and been invited into their homes.
