7 Questions With …. Latrice Royale of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race

Latrice Royale easily won Miss Congeniality on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. But with such strong competition on All Stars, Latrice and Team Latrila member Manila, were sent home before winning the ultimate crown. No matter, this fierce queen will continue making others EAT IT for years to come, All Stars title or not. Latrice took some time out of her busy travel schedule to answer some of our questions via email.

CGM Why am I talking to you right now? You’re one of the strongest & sweetest contestants! Do you think you could’ve done anything differently to stay in the competition?

Latrice Royale: Absolutely not!! Lol.. I mean we were the second highest scoring team. They seemed to be more focused on my eye shadow and chains. Moral of the story is, when your time is up, your time is up.

CGM You seemed to really connect with Manila, even though she kept sending you into that garbage can for the smallest items possible. Were you happy with your team?

Latrice Royale: Lol.. I know right? But yes I was thrilled with my team. Seriously Manila and I have grown into great friends, which totally made the entire experience worth while.

CGM What are you doing next?

Latrice Royale: Well as they say.. On to Bigger and Better… I feel that it’s very important to give back so my next project has to do with making a difference in the lives of others. My new family in South Africa need us. I will be working on a pretty big project to shine some light on some international new hopefuls.

CGM Where can people see you?

Latrice Royale: Because of my intense travel schedule, in a city/town near you. I am rarely at my home bars in South Beach and Wilton Manors. But when I am home you can catch me at the Palace Bar SoBe, and Boom in Wilton Manors.

You’re at a magazine rack and can pick three titles, which ones do you choose?

Vogue, Advocate, and People.

Your DVR can only carry 3 shows, which ones would you want?

Well I gotta have my Atlanta Housewives, Family Guy, and of course Drag Race. Can you tell I like to escape to mindless TV. Lol

What’s been your strangest fan encounter?

I’ve had fans asking me to lay hands on them. I was little taken aback because I’m not Jesus! But of course I was more than happy to do it.

Tell me about a time when you were star struck.

I rarely get “star struck”, but when Adam Lambert stops by my dressing room to let me know that he loves me, it’s pretty Amazing!!!

What are three things you must have in your fridge or pantry?

Chips and fresh salsa, kool aid, cuz I’m still a little ghetto, and somethin sweet.

What are your three favorite movies?

Steel Magnolias, Two Can Play That Game, and Harlem Nights

You’re going to Cape Town soon. What are you most looking forward to during that trip?

I could not wait to see the beauty that this country holds. Seeing one of the seven wonders of the world, and of course to experience the people and culture.
