McGhee sextuplets focus of new OWN series “Six Little McGhees”

The McGhee sextuplets are the focus of OWN’s newest docuseries Six Little McGhees premiering Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10pm ET. High-school sweethearts Mia and Rozonno McGhee wanted one thing in life — a family. After trying to conceive on their own, they turned to fertility treatments that blessed them with sextuplets. Cameras invade their busy, busy Ohio home, capturing what it’s like caring for six babies now approaching their terrible twos.

Mia and Rozonno McGhee and their sextuplets are the focus of new OWN series Six Little McGhees“It is a shocker that I’m doing this every day, especially after seeing a glimpse of the recording to see how busy my life really is,” Mia tells us. “I just do it every day. I don’t really have time to think about anything.”

The six babies are so unique in personality, as their parents describe them: Olivia, the drama queen; Madison, the jokester; Rozonno Jr., a chip off the old block; Josiah, clever and sneaky; Elijah, the biggest of the six and he knows it; and Isaac, a bit bossy.

“I grew up with four boys in the house — there were no girls — and to see these girls, they just know how to manipulate,” Rozonno (Roz) says. “They know when they got you wrapped. They look at me with those puppy dog eyes and stick their lips out and cry, and I can’t help but hold them and kiss them, and I know they did wrong. I’m so confused. The kids took over. It’s good to see their personalities, they’re all so different — they are smart, vibrant, healthy. We’re truly blessed, we really are.”

When asked if familiar with John & Kate and the potential backlash of exposing their lives and business to a reality show, Roz laughs, remembering his first reaction to the Gosselin family. “When I saw the show I thought to myself ‘man that guy’s really got it bad.’ He was really like yelling and screaming, I couldn’t believe it. It was too much for me. When I found out we were having sextuplets I thought to myself, ‘Lord, I hope Mia don’t change. I hope Mia don’t get mean and start yelling at me.’”

Even with Roz and Mia being together 24/7 — they both work at the carpet cleaning service they own, McGhee Carpet Cleaning — I don’t think he’s got much to worry. The couple is committed to their family and not to fame.Their endearing personalities and positive outlook on life make them a fun family to follow.

Six Little McGhees airs on OWN Saturdays at 10/9c ET.
