The Wanted TV series comes to E! via “The Wanted Life”

The Wanted TV series? Yep, the UK pop band The Wanted is following in the footsteps of the all-girl group The Saturdays, at least in the way of American docuseries go, with their own show, The Wanted Life, set to debut on E! in June. The Wanted Life will chronicle the group’s professional and personal lives as they make their way to California to record their third album, in addition to gearing up for a U.S. and European tour later in 2013.

The move to the States for members — Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaranthe (and two of their girlfriends) — is temporary with hopes of helping them solidify top rankings on American pop music charts. Similar to E!’s current series Chasing the Saturdays, the boys also will live together in the Hollywood Hills and take on all that LA has to offer as they record their new album, with cameras following their every move.

“America has a long history of falling for British bad boy musicians, so it’s no surprise that The Wanted are already beloved by legions of fans far and wide,” said Ryan Seacrest, who serves as executive producer. “This talented and outspoken English-Irish band are setting their own course to fame and this journey is the foundation of the series. It’s a road that’s bound to include irresistible pop tracks along with plenty of humor, antics and drama behind-the-scenes, which I believe will further ignite fascination and even obsession with these guys.”

Press materials describe The Wanted members as:
Max George (24) dubbed the ladies’ man of the group who holds nothing back. He nearly signed a deal to play football with Preston North End in Manchester before joining the group. Following a very public break-up with his ex-fiancée, Max is playing the field … and apparently loving it.

Siva Kaneswaran (24) is the most serious and Zen-like member of the band who keeps the peace between his girlfriend and his band mates. “He also feels the guys live too wildly, and tries to calm down their activities whenever possible,” the press release states. Siva is also bringing along his girlfriend Nareesha McCaffrey, who apparently is not too happy about sharing quarters with the rest of the band.

Jay McGuinness (22) is funny, but more elusive. “He is arguably the group’s biggest supporter but can be completely unpredictable.”

Tom Parker (24) is somewhat of a skeptic, having strong opinions on where the band should be headed, which often causes conflict with band mates. He’s got a girlfriend who fits right in with the guys but the relationship can be challenged by all the time Tom spends with the group. “Tom has an energetic temperament that often leaves a mess in its wake.” Tom’s also bring his girlfriend, Kelsey Hardwick, who apparently loves to party just as much as the boys.

Nathan Sykes (19) is the baby of the group but has proven to be one of the most mature and grounded. “He is completely devoted to the fans and feels the group has an image to uphold. Although he’s close with each of his band mates, he is sometimes left out of the mix when they go out since he’s not old enough to get into bars and clubs in the US.”

Also coming to the States with the group is Nano Tissera, whose 24/7 job is to be responsible for the guys’ whereabouts and keep them focused.
