Grammys 2013 date, time, TV channel, preview and more for music’s biggest night!

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards

Sunday, Feb. 10

CBS, 8pm ET, (with red-carpet coverage on E! and MTV starting at 6pm)

The music industry’s most prestigious event and its biggest stars will be on hand to see who will be awarded for their contribution to music this past year. LL Cool J returns as hosting, where we are certain he will refrain from shamelessly plugging his other CBS gig on NCIS: Los Angeles.

LL Cool J hosts the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS.

Who’s nominated? Quite a few artists tied for the top spot with six nominations each, including Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, fun., Mumford & Sons, newcomer Frank Ocean, Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Who’s performing? Among those taking the stage are Travis Barker, Chuck D, LL Cool J, Tom Morello, and DJ Z-Trip; Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert; The Black Keys; Kelly Clarkson; fun.; Juanes; Elton John and Ed Sheeran; Alicia Keys; The Lumineers; Maroon 5; Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Sting; Miguel and Wiz Khalifa; Mumford & Sons; Frank Ocean; Taylor Swift; Justin Timberlake; Carrie Underwood; and Jack White. (Yeah, we’re wondering when they’re going to find time to actually hand out awards, too.)

Why should I watch? To make fun of what people wear, obviously. Oh, and maybe we’ll get answers to these questions: Will Frank Ocean dominate like he’s predicted to? Will Taylor Swift make angry faces if she doesn’t win? How many times will the camera cut to Chris Brown while Rihanna is performing? Will it be weird watching Justin Timberlake perform now that we’ve gotten used to him just being an actor? Is the snubbed Justin Bieber or his army of Bieber Believers planning a public revenge?
