Celebrity Wife Swap: Kate Gosselin, Kendra Wilkinson trade lives in season premiere

ABC announced today that  Celebrity Wife Swap will return Tuesday, Feb. 26 with a doozie of a switch-up: former Playboy Bunny turned reality star Kendra Wilkinson and former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin.

Since Gosselin’s been serving as single mom to 12-year-old twins Cara and Mady, and 8-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah since her 2009 divorce from Jon Gosselin, it’s hard not to argue that she got the better deal, moving in with Wilkinson’s husband, former NFL star Hank Baskett and their toddler son Hank, Jr.

The apparently fearless Wilkinson — who will display her high-diving skills as a cast member of ABC’s Splash! beginning March 19 — will tackle solo parenting of the Gosselin tribe.

The series follows the adventures of two famous moms as they trade lifestyles, families and homes for a week “to see how another celebrity raises their children and deals with life in the spotlight, while allowing both couples the opportunity to rediscover why they love each other and why they decided to get together in the first place.”

Past cast members have included Growing Pains star Tracey Gold switching households with Wilson Phillips crooner Carnie Wilson, Family Ties star Tina Yothers and comic actress Neicy Nash, and the spouses of loose-cannon actor Gary Busey and disgraced televangelist Ted Haggard, rap star Flavor Flav and Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, and pro wrestler Mick Foley and heartthrob Antonio Sabato, Jr.

All-new episodes of Celebrity Wife Swap will air Tuesdays at 8pm ET/PT. The time slot was previously held by the Anthony Bourdain/Nigella Lawson cooking competition The Taste, which will air one hour later at 9pm and replace Happy Endings, which moves to Friday nights beginning March 29.
