truTV takes a look into the history of the University of Kentucky Wildcats’ basketball program and how it became one of the most successful in all of college sports. Bluegrass Kingdom: The Gospel of Kentucky Basketball chronicles of the Wildcats’ history from its origins through its 2012 NCAA championship team. The documentary premieres Sunday, March 17, at 8pm ET, as part of Turner Sports coverage of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Highlights include explorations of UK’s first coach, the 1966 NCAA championship game against Texas Western College’s all-African American starting five, and Joe B. Hall’s 1975 team that upset Indiana.

Interviews in Bluegrass Kingdom: The Gospel of Kentucky Basketball include Pat Riley, Jamal Mashburn, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, John Calipari, Joe B. Hall, Kenny “Sky” Walker, Derek Anderson, Cliff Hagan, Willie Worsley, and of course, UK alum and fan Ashley Judd. Grammy Award-winning artist Drake narrates.
