Telemundo’s Honduras vs Mexico World Cup qualifier coverage averages over 2.3 million total viewers

Telemundo says that its broadcast of last Friday’s (March 22) Honduras vs Mexico World Cup qualifying match on Rumbo al Mundial delivered more than 2.3 million total viewers on average, and nearly 1.3 million Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen. The match — which ended in a 2-2 draw — also delivered a cumulative audience of more than 4.7 million total viewers, which was 7 percent more than the last match by the Mexican National Team that Telemundo broadcast (Guyana vs Mexico, Oct. 12, 2012).

Rumbo al Mundial‘s coverage of Honduras vs Mexico was the top-ranked telecast among total viewers in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco, regardless of language, in the time period, according to Telemundo. The Honduras vs Mexico match was also rated the No. 1 program in the time period among Adults 18-49 in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix and San Francisco, regardless of language.

The Mexican National Team plays its next World Cup qualifier March 26 against USA, at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
