NCAA Tournament 2013 schedule and TV channels

NCAA Tournament 2013 schedule and TV channels: Updated:  Final Four 2013 dates, times and TV channel

The 68 teams picked to compete in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament are revealed Sunday, March 17, in the NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show on CBS. With the revelation of the brackets comes the requisite debate about which bubble teams were snubbed by the selection committee, which teams didn’t deserve a ticket to the dance and which No. 1 seed is the likeliest to fall victim to an underdog. Top teams in the hunt for a Final Four berth at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta include Gonzaga, Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Georgetown, Michigan, Kansas, Michigan State and Miami (Fla.).

The 68-team NCAA Tournament field gets pared down to 64 in the “First Four,” played March 19-20 in Dayton, Ohio, and airing on truTV. The four teams emerging victorious advance to the Second Round March 21-22. CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV combine to air every tournament game nationally through April 8.

Last year, Kentucky defeated Kansas 67-59 for the school’s eighth national title and first for head coach John Calipari. But with most of that team leaving for the NBA, Kentucky plummeted out of the AP Top 25 early this season.
