TLC tells the story best: My Teen Is Pregnant and So Am I …

TLC debuts new series My Teen Is Pregnant and So Am I beginning Tuesdays, June 11 at 10pm ET

Seriously, would this not be your worst nightmare? First the disappointment that your teen daughter is pregnant, and then learning you’re going to have a baby, too. Leave it to TLC to find families in this situation (well, they did find Honey Boo Boo) and document their lives in My Teen Is Pregnant and So Am I. The six-episode series (airing Tuesdays at 10pm ET beginning June 11) chronicles their intense emotional journey as they fight through their battles and lean on each other while they come to terms with their new lives. The families profiled include the Thomas/Anderson family from Fresno, Calif., where mom Nicole (34) and daughter Mariah (17) are both pregnant; as well as the Childers family from York, S.C., mom Lorna (41) and daughter Chae (19); the Hunt family from Bronx, N.Y., mom Lemhele (34) and daughter Shaniyah (15); and the Ray family from St. Augustine, Fla., mom Kristi (43) and daughter Kim (16).

The heartbreak the mothers go through as they see their daughters repeating their mistakes is real, as they all want more for their children than what they maybe had. “I didn’t want her to go through what I did,” says one mom in the trailer. “I just didn’t want that for her.”

  1. Dawn says:

Austin is NOT the father of Chae’s baby. I know this for a fact.
