The US Open returns to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, N.Y., for the last Grand Slam tournament of the year Aug. 26-Sept. 9. On the women’s side, 2012 US Open champion Serena Williams hopes to be back in top form against Petra Kvitova, Victoria Azarenka, Agnieszka Radwanska, Sara Errani, Li Na and Caroline Wozniacki (Maria Sugarpova Sharapova has withdrawn due to shoulder bursitis). Fresh off a monumental win at Wimbledon, Andy Murray looks for another Grand Slam and a repeat title at the US Open. Challenging Murray are Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, David Ferrer, Rafael Nadal, Tomas Berdych, Richard Gasquet and Juan Martin del Potro. ESPN2, ESPN, Tennis Channel and CBS air the tournament through Sept. 9. Early round coverage begins Monday, Aug. 26, at 1pm ET on ESPN2. CBS has coverage of the women’s (Sunday, Sept. 8) and men’s (Monday, Sept. 9) singles finals.
