“Community” re-airing on Comedy Central starting Sept. 20

Before it returns for its fifth season on NBC sometime during 2013-14 (as with much about this show historically, the network is not forthcoming at this point about exactly when, but likely in 2014), fans of Community can watch previous episodes when the cult comedy series begins its cable run on Comedy Central. Starting Sept. 20, Community will air in a four-episode block weekly on Fridays from 9pm-11pm ET, starting with Season 1. During Friday premieres on Comedy Central, the network says that fans can use the Twitter hashtag #CommunityCentral for a chance to see their tweets on-air.

Before the first Friday block, though, Comedy Central is airing a Community marathon on Sept. 15 from 11:30am-4:30pm ET/PT, featuring 10 fan-favorite episodes. Episodes include: “Pilot”; “Cooperative Calligraphy”; “Contemporary Impressionists”; “Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking”; “Documentary Filmmaking: Redux”; “Digital Exploration of Interior Design Pt. 1”; “Pillows and Blankets Pt. 2”; “Modern Warfare”; “A Fistful of Paintballs Pt. 1”; and “For a Few Paintballs More Pt. 2.”

Created by Dan Harmon, Community is about a tight-knit study group at Greendale Community College. At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale). Also starring are Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash.
