College football SEC Championship game 2013 TV coverage: The SEC Championship Game airs on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 4pm ET, on CBS with BCS No. 3 Auburn and No. 5 Missouri squaring off at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. For six of the past seven years, the winner of this game has gone on to win the national championship, but Alabama’s stunning loss to Auburn last week could possibly put an end to that streak. The winner of the SEC Championship will need lots of help — losses by Ohio State or Florida State in their respective conference title games — to get get a berth the BCS National Championship Game.

Just think about it. If a team has to go through a SEC schedule every year and win the championship game to get into the national championship game if there is another undefeated team in a BCS conference, then the BCS is truly hogwash!. You can’t tell me that Florida State or Ohio State could go through Auburn, Missouri, or Alabama’s schedule undefeated. In other words, there must be a very dominant sec team as Ala has been in recent years in order to make it if any other teams are undefeated. It should be about placing the two best teams into championship game. Right now that has to be the winner of the SEC Championship vs either Ohio State or Floriday State. Sadly, it won’t happen.
