“AHS: Coven” gets back on track with “Go To Hell”

Recap of AHS: Coven Jan 22 episode: After a two episode AHS: Coven detour, tonight’s American Horror Story: Coven “Go To Hell” gets us back on the highway to the Seven Wonders.

Recap of AHS: Coven Jan 22 episodeBetween Stevie Nicks, trips to Disneyland and OTC Benadryl, I was thankful my DVR was working so I could watch the last two episodes again, and again. So many witchy women had left, I needed a program to keep score. [SPOILER ALERT – major plot point revealed, so don’t read on if you don’t want to know] But things do get back to normal in this episode, and thankfully, as we only have one episode left for this season. The season finale of AHS: Coven is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 29 and will focus on the rise of the new supreme to succeed Fiona. Here’s the abbreviated version of what went down tonight — and there was some shockers in this bloodbath. First off, reigning supreme Fiona (Jessica Lange) finally gets her portrait painted that’s just before she gets the ax. Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) regains her insight in the hope of finding Misty Day (Lily Raby), and Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) briefly returns to Chubbie’s Chicken searching for two old friends. Also back in this episode are Kyle (Evan Peters) and Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), which makes for a happy return of several characters we love. One thing we don’t see tonight is another performance by Stevie Nicks, Ryan Murphy’s probably saving an encore performance for the finale.

And before this episode is over, all the witches return and the Coven works as one to destroy an old enemy after he clears the way so the ceremony to find the next Supreme can begin. Let’s go ladies!
