Most known and beloved as a longtime radio announcer, notably the host of “American Top 40” in its various incarnations from 1970-2009, Kasem also lent his notable voice to various television works, most famously voicing Shaggy in the classic Scooby-Doo cartoons (again, in various incarnations over 40 years).
