The beloved comedian and actor, famed for his rapid-fire improvisation, rose to fame on the sitcom Mork & Mindy from 1978-82, and went on to establish himself as a acclaimed actor in not only comedic roles, but dramatic, as well. He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor three times: in 1987’s Good Morning, Vietnam; in Dead Poets Society (1989); and in The Fisher King (1992). He won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Good Will Hunting (1997).
