For all those fans who have been ranting at A&E over removing Those Who Kill from the network’s lineup after just two episodes, your comments have been heard. The series will get a rebirth on A&E’s sister network LMN (formerly Lifetime Movie Network) beginning Sunday, March 30 at 10pm ET. For newbies of the series it’s a great binge-watching opportunity as the first two previously aired episodes of the series will air at 8pm and 9pm ET prior to an all-new episode in its regular time slot at 10pm ET.
When asked for a comment on selecting LMN for the series’ new home, A&E Networks (which also owns A&E, Lifetime, History, Bio) issued the following statement: “With a diverse mix of original movies and series, LMN is the entertainment destination for women to connect to powerful stories and experience real emotion. Those Who Kill is a perfect fit for our passionate LMN audience who craves dramatic, female centric storytelling.”
Those Who Kill is based on the Danish crime thriller and stars Chloe Sevigny (Big Love) as a complicated homicide detective who is haunted by her past. She’s one of the best detectives in tracking down serial killers for the Pittsburgh homicide department, but she’s got some issues. Her questionable family ties — she suspects her stepfather could be a serial killer — and her brother’s unsolved disappearance fuels many of her motives. Enter James D’Arcy (Hitchcock), who stars as Thomas Schaeffer, a forensic psychologist who has a tumultuous relationship with the police department for his unusual overly-vested approach to casework. He too finds himself deeply connected to each case, but relates a little more closely to the killer.
James D’Arcy told us in an earlier interview: “In the pilot something happens that you’re really not expecting to happen and the rest of the show is a dance of that mystery as we kind of see these two characters get deeper in and kind of unravel, and from Thomas’ perspective all with the best intentions.”
Those Who Kill now airs on LMN Sundays at 10pmET.
