Were you born on July 20? If so enter the Lifetime Lottery sweepstakes

Were you born on July 20? If so, you could be a winner in the Lifetime Lottery sweepstakes. The premiere date of Lifetime’s new series The Lottery, directly coincides with the Lifetime Lottery sweepstakes (the series premieres July 20) and Lifetime is looking to award one person with $10,000.

Marley Shelton in Lifetime's The LotteryKnowing there are roughly 11,000 babies born a day in the U.S., your odds of winning this sweepstakes are relatively decent if July 20 turns out to be your birthday. Obviously, you need to multiple that daily average to account for several decades, but even then — say you multiply by 80 some years — you still are looking at an OK chance.  Celebs like Josh Holloway, Sandra Oh, Gisele Bundchen, Omar Epps and Julianne Hough all qualify.

Now for any of you ladies who may be pregnant — don’t go thinking you need to induce labor next week, as age restrictions would wipe out your baby’s eligibility (you have to be 18 years of age or older). The official rules are clear that you must be born on July 20, stating “do not proceed if your birthday does not fall on July 20th and you are not a legal U.S. resident currently located and residing in the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia.” The winner will be required to provide a copy of a current government-issued identification as proof of age and date of birth, and return an affidavit of eligibility.

The sweepstakes began on Monday, July 7 and will end on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 11:59pm ET. To enter you must visit the Sweepstakes homepage at lotterylifetime.com and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the entry form with your name, date of birth, email address, and phone number. What’s nice about this sweepstakes is that you are eligible to enter once a day through the sweepstakes period. For official rules click here.

In Lifetime’s new Utopian thriller, The Lottery, airing Sundays at 10pm ET/PT beginning July 20, the world is in a global fertility crisis — no children have been born for over five years. One scientist (played by Marley Shelton) has successfully fertilized 100 embroyos and has instilled some hope for humanity to continue, but the real challenge is who will be given the opportunity to have a child. Enter the government and all sorts of conspiracy’s and problems ensue.
