Joey FatoneJoey Fatone, former member of boy band super-group N’Sync, Dancing With The Stars contestant, and TV Host (The Singing Bee, Rewrapped), pulls double duty as host and Executive Producer of Hub Network’s original series, Parents Just Don’t Understand. In the spirit of “Freaky Friday,” the unique reality series gives real kids and their parents a chance to find out what it feels like to be in the other person’s shoes.

Fatone explains the rules so that everyone, even the parents, understands.

The series will premiere Saturday, August 23 (7pmET/4pmPT) with the episode, “The Touchdown Maker and Cupcake Baker,” Fatone swaps the lives of a 13-year-old and his under-appreciated mom of five kids. While the son tackles taking care of his siblings and a demanding job at the railroad, his mom must power through chores and football practice.

It seems like Fatone, a father of two, gets it that parents and kids alike yearn for the relative ease of each others’ lives. What seems like a life of leisure and choice can actually be filled with stress and frustration.  Parents Just Don’t Understand is great family viewing and should lead to mutual appreciation for everyone’s respective role in your household.
