TV coverage of President Obama ISIS address

President Barack Obama will address the nation on Sept. 10 at 9pm ET, from the State Floor of the White House. A release from the White House press secretary said that the president will “discuss with the American people the threat posed by ISIL and to lay out the United States’ strategy for degrading and ultimately destroying the terrorist group.”

Press secretary Josh Ernst told reporters that the president is addressing the nation in primetime because he “believes this is a high national security priority.” ISIL [also known as ISIS, or Islamic State] has taken over parts of Iraq and Syria and killed scores of people, including the beheadings of two American journalists.
