Blending Davis’ own memories of the multi-talented superstar with her most electrifying performances, the special includes the 19-year-old Houston’s first national television appearance, performing “Home” on The Merv Griffin Show in 1983.

Other performance footage features Houston signing  “Greatest Love of All” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” at Arista Records 15th Anniversary Concert at Radio City Music Hall in 1990 and “I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from the 1994 American Music Awards.

Whitney premieres Saturday, Jan. 17 at 8/7CT on Lifetime followed by Bobby Brown: Remembering Whitney and Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances at 11/10CT.
