Recap Little Women: LA “Home Wreckers” Season 2, Episode 9

It’s another week and we know that we’re going to see another fight on Little Women: LA.  Is anyone else starting to feel fight fatigue?

Briana and Matt and Christy and Todd go on a double date; thank goodness Matt hasn’t been scared off by the group’s insanity. It looks like they’re at the Santa Monica pier, but Christy and Briana are too small to ride most of the rides.

LWLA_2.9_mamaElena and her husband have moved into their new house, which is adorable. It’s just in time too, because Elena’s mom is coming for her annual visit the day after they move in. (Why didn’t they pick her up from the airport? Who makes Mama take a cab?) Elena’s mom speaks no English and arrives wearing what looks like a bear. Because moving and having your mom visit aren’t stressful enough, Elena decides to invite the ladies over for a housewarming party. I’m not sure why Preston doesn’t lock her in a closet until she comes to her senses.

After 8 months of trying to get pregnant Christy and Todd explore IVF. Todd already lost a baby who was “double dominant” and IVF is a viable option for little people because it allows parents to do genetic testing on embryos to only implant healthy embryos that have the best opportunity to survive. Christy is a good candidate for IVF, but when the cost of genetic testing is added, IVF can come at a whopping $30,000 cost. Yikes!!!

Over at Terra’s house, she is prepping her baby’s cute nursery. And Traci is like Santa and come bearing fantastic gifts. It’s gotta be tough for her to have a friend who is pregnant, but Traci is happy for her friend. Traci and Erik are also considering IVF, but only to eliminate a double dominant pregnancy. Last season, Traci said she didn’t want to raise a little person child, but she’s changed her mind and would welcome any kid, as long as it’s healthy.  It’s a huge change for Traci, who said last season she didn’t want to bring another little person into the world. She’s obviously learning to love herself despite and because of her challenges.

Of course, Terra brings up Christy and Todd also considering IVF and the baby race continues.

Elena heads out with the girls to a comedy club and leaves Preston and mom home along with little more than a translating app on her iPad. I think there are many people out there who would love to have a language barrier with their in-laws.

LWLA_2.9_BrianaComedyBriana’s friend Brad is headlining at a comedy club, so she’s invited her friends to see him perform. He is also a little person, and her frequently uses the “M word” in his routine, and if you remember last season, the series started with the ladies yelling at Elena over the use of that word. Yup, 30 seconds into his routine, Brad drops the M-bomb and you can see Tonya’s eyes rolling in her head. She is fuming! Traci, the queen of the eye roll is also spinning her peepers. Later, Brad brings Briana on stage and gives her a lap dance. So awkward — because when isn’t a lap dance awkward? And hilarious — because when isn’t a lap dance hilarious? Tonya approves.

LWLA_2.9_ElenaClothesLater, Elena takes Terra to look at samples for her clothing line. She is making her line for both little people and average-sized women. The clothing is beautiful and looks fantastic on both Elena and her average-sized model, but let’s be honest, most women aren’t built like models, and most little people aren’t built like Elena. I hope that in her quest to make inclusive clothing, she’s making clothing that fits real bodies. Elena also leans that the cost of producing her line is crazy expensive and now that she and Preston have purchased a house, they are financially tapped out. (Later, Preston (who I adore) tells her that he believes in her line and they’ll find the funds.)

Terra and Joe go to a childbirth class. A very crunchy class. Because she’s a little person, she has to have a C-section, so I guess this is just a TV moment set up to make Lamaze instructors moan like lunatics. But don’t knock Lamaze until you’ve tried it. When you’re moaning during sex, you’re actually doing Lamaze.

LWLA_2.9_ChristySunsetYay, Sunset Friday! That is one of Todd and Christy’s cutest traditions. It’s a time for them to connect, ditch the distractions and discuss the tough stuff. Todd tells Christy that insurance may cover more of and she reveals that if a magic pill existed that would make her tall, she would take it in an instant. She doesn’t want her future child to have to suffer like she did. Hearing her say this is so sad, not only for her, but for the two children that she already has who are little people. Todd says he is fine as a little person but he would have loved to avoid the many surgeries that he’s endured.

Briana is absent (on a date with Matt) so she misses Elena’s housewarming hell. The party had only just begun and the women are already laying into Christy about her investigating both IVF and adoption. Lay off ladies!

LWLA_2.9_FightAnd they start rehashing old fights. Elena is tired of this Sh!t and I am too. Because once they start arguing, it gets heated fast. And then they start swearing at each other and waving their arms like loony birds and screaming like banshees. Then, they start calling each other the most terrible words imaginable. Who uses words like this? So classless. Elena tried to play the peacemaker, but all these women want to do I fight. Would any normal person still stay friends with anyone who called you things like “Fat pig,” “Stupid” “Bitch” or any of the even worse things they called each other? Even if this is done for the cameras, I’d still cry, then come out swinging. It’s gotta be staged, right? If my husband heard that much yelling, he’d for sure come running and kick everyone out.

Next week, Christy and Todd decide to take everyone to New Orleans. Why is the solution to all problems a sudden vacation? Also, New Orleans can be filled with the most drunken, feeble-minded, tourists in the history of the universe. I think the official slogan of the French quarter is “Show your T#Ts,” so the gang had better be prepared to back each other up. It’s no longer friend vs. friend, it’s gonna be the group vs. drunk morons.

What did you think of Little Women: LA “Home Wreckers”? Is it feeling phony? Are you feeling a little fight fatigue? Do we need a touchy-feely episode?

  1. I agree that at times Christi may have issues at times and may have done things wrong but true friends do not call her the names that they called her . and also she did try to apologize for her mistakes and as far as I’m concerned I don’t see forgiveness or anything from these other women especially Tara and Tania they are not very good friends.

  2. Tara is a bully and is actually the one who starts fights by bringing past mess up. She has serious mommy and relationship issues. Traci is a hypocrite. She isn’t a real Christian. She can’t forgive and she is always smiling when the girls gang up on Christy. She is also childish and constantly accusing Christy of “copying” her. Girl please, you’re not anyone to copy. Traci get over yourself. Tanya needs to just stop. All of those chics need to chill. Let the past go or let the friendship go!

  3. I feel this show really teaches how little people have a tougher time just doing basic everyday things taller people take for granted
I honestly think Chrissy and her husband are very jealous terra is pregnant because they cannot but I feel Chrissy actions is the reason why
She creates a lot of fights within the group of ladies
I am not taking any sides but it is obvious of her jealousy and spite and this is the reason why she is not getting pregnant if she just stops the drama things may change for her
The other girl trying to get pregnant needs to stop overthinking things and is doing great helping terra with her nursery. If she just makes love and stops stressing about pregnancy her chances are greater to becoming pregnant
I would like to see these ladies try harder to get along and support one another or they will loose the viewers and show. I’d also like the lady wanting to create the clothing line to see how many designers are out there and how the competition is too great and by focussing on solely little people she might actually find success. She shouldn’t be greedy but realize peoe will take her more seriously and respect her more if she focused on dressing all types of little people she could even have multiple boutiques or large companies like macys who will carry her clothing for little people. It will be a smart thing to create and focus on. The show is interesting but the Lila lady from New York was just awful. She is a woman who needs to continue getting stronger with her sobriety and realize she has no chance with joe. She always asked about him and is very obsessed almost stalkerish and seems very insecure. I will not watch if they create a little women New York. She was a person who caused fights and instigate problems and all to her benefit. Her personality made me change the chanel and disappointed of her actions
I hope to see this show continue prosper and these women have one show without a fight

  4. I really loves the show….But you guys really need to get it together….I hope y’all can stay on air for a long time and get alone with each other. ..Please don’t turn it out to be a drama show they have to many of those On now….Lol I’m in the big Easy
    Thanks Peace ¥

  5. to Kellie Freeze: This article was hilarious! You gave me a full recap and made me laugh out loud several times.

  6. I am so tired of the fighting. Beginning to think it’s all staged just for the show. Come on girls…let’s get back to reality.

  7. That was some hurtful stuff to watch last night. Why would Todd owe Terra an apology for his behavior but Joe didn’t offer an apology for his absolutely rude comments at the party for Tonya? It’s just wrong. I don’t care how gorgeous Terra is what she said made her ugly…those downright hurtful mean hearted statements made her ugly. I hope she apologized, saw this episode and apologized again cuz just…ugh. I’m a little disgusted that they all call each other friends, do they know what that word means cuz they don’t all act like it. And it’s not that Christy is a saint but last night and at that Tonya party, i think every girl who watched who ever was called a name for being bigger or what was considered unattractive was #Teamchristy cuz that was mean. Just plain mean.

    • They must be contractually bound to be together. I don’t care if I ever see them collectively again. They aren’t friends. I don’t have any friends that act like that….if they did they wouldn’t be my friends any more. So, yes, I think it’s set up and encouraged. I also notice that they spew lots of venom in one-on-one interviews which are spliced into the actual fights. Elena could have predicted with 100% accuracy that fighting would break out in front of her mother as these women have no filters. Just a thought on Elena’s clothing line. I totally understand that she wants an all-inclusive line, but a small line needs a niche. She should concentrate on clothes for different sized little women first. Production costs for that many sizes would be prohibitive. I do think it’s a great idea, though. I’ve looked at what’s out there, and it’s not cute. She’d have lots of customers.

      • You know, I was thinking the same thing for Elena’s clothing line, I understand she wants double the money so make it for average and little women BUT like you said, little women clothing is a total niche market and sounds like the freakin JACKPOT to me, cater to a certain people and then boom, fashion shows, store fronts, start doing under garments and then start trying men’s clothing, homegirl could clean up!

  8. This episode really disturbed me because the level of animosity among the “friends” seemed to be at a new low at Elena’s housewarming party. The ladies should have respected Elena enough to behave for the evening. She is kind person, a class act and my favorite in the group. I hope everyone will work out their differences quickly.

    • If they didn’t think they could sit and be nice for an evening with Elena’s mom, they should have stayed home. Oh, yeah. They are contractually obligated to be together. I’d rather see a separate story line on each woman than this constant fighting. Friends don’t act that way. Ever, really.

  9. The only way Terra can keep Joe interest is by getting pregnant, and she’s afraid of Elena beauty that is why she want to be her “friend”.

  10. Terra name suits her she’s just big bully always going after Chrissy and Traci is just a stupid whiny fool, forget Ms. Boss she needs a man to keep her busy, just give Chrissy a break every woman needs a man like Todd and Terra is just jealous of Chrissy.

    • I’m tired of Terra and the other wanna be divas ganging up on Christy. And she’s right… Terra is a trouble maker who can never give a genuine apology. I know she’s pregnant, but hormones are not behind her awful behaviour …. I don’t know if it is for the show or ratings, but Christy and Brianna need to get new friends
