TCM will honor Christopher Lee with film tribute

Actor Rod Taylor passed away Jan. 7 at the age of 84. To celebrate his long career, which featured some iconic films (including his final credited role, in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds), Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will air a five-film tribute to the actor on Jan. 29. From Turner Classic Movies: Before the debut of HBO’s Prohibition-era series Boardwalk Empire, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will get viewers in the speakeasy mood with an evening of biopics about some of the time period’s most notorious gangsters and bootleggers. TCM’s “Prohibition All-Stars” marathon, scheduled to air September 15, will showcase five films about such figures as Al Capone, John “Legs” Diamond, Arnold Rothstein, Louis “Lepke” Buchalter and Vincent “Mad Dog” Coll.
