Ah, June — that magical month where everyone seems to be getting hitched. Hallmark is celebrating June with a “June Weddings” programming celebration, and tomorrow night (June 27), they’re premiering their Hallmark Channel Original Movie, A Country Wedding, at 9pm ET/PT (8pm CT).
Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland, the hot gardener from Desperate Housewives) plays Bradley Suttons, a country music sensation. His parents died when he was a child, and he left his home and his best friend Sarah behind (after a make-believe wedding between the two). Now an adult who’s already made it big in Nashville and moved onto bigger things in L.A., he’s engaged to a glamorous movie star, Catherine (Laura Mennell, Alphas). But after receiving his mother’s ring back from Sarah (Autumn Reeser, Entourage), he returns home to sell his parents’ house and winds up reconnecting with Sarah. As Sarah helps him plan a hometown country wedding to Catherine, he realizes how little he really knows about his fiancée, who, along with her agent Margaret (Lauren Holly, NCIS), is secretly making some decidedly non-country wedding plans. As the big day approaches, Bradley must decide who his heart really belongs to.

Confession: I tried my best not to get sucked in, but I totally did. (Hallmark Movies seem to have some sort of estrogen receptor magnet things. Can’t … tear … self … away.) The movie is filled with the usual Hallmark Channel drama, sappy love stuff, and other things girly girls like me tend to fall for. This is Jesse Metcalfe’s world premiere television singing debut; he recorded three country songs for the movie in Bryan Adams’ studio. June’s almost over, so if you haven’t gotten your yearly June wedding fix yet, here’s your chance.
I missed this show. Will it air again and if so, when?

Where did they film this movie. They kept referring to it as Texas but wasn’t sure they really filmed it there?
I been to a country wedding once. Bride was pregnant, husband weighed about 60 pounds and the food at the reception was a bunch of leftovers from their uncles diner. Yup, they sure know how to do it right in the country.
My husband and I want to know what song and who the artist is that plays at the very end of the movie. The lyrics go “when u got something you know is true, a man does what he has to do”. Please help!!

I loved the song “your love is lifting my heart” Lifting My Heart- when does the song come out so I can download it? I actually listened to the 1994 Ulrich Henderson Forbes version. Love it – but still want to listen to Metcalfe’s version.

In the movie Country Wedding, there is a song that plays several times in the background but it has no words. Its a country waltz from in the 1990’s. The original song is about so I told her I loved her, and bought her a ring… What is the song? Its driving me nuts trying to figure it out? Thanks
