Fourth of July 2015 TV programming

Independence Day 2015 in America is Saturday, July 4. It falls such that, if you’re lucky, you may have Friday, July 3, off of work to enjoy at least a three-day weekend. Either way, once again the Fourth of July holiday will feature plenty of television viewing, if you are so inclined, in terms of movies, shows, sports and programming marathons.

Say Yes to the Dress marathon — July 3 from 3pm-9pm on TLC.

Ancient Aliens marathon — July 3 from 4pm-4:02am on History.

Major League Baseball Holiday Game: San Francisco Giants at Washington Nationals — July 3 at 6pm on ESPN.

Call of the Wildman marathon — July 4 from 9am-12:04am on Animal Planet.

BBQ Pitmasters marathon — July 4 from 9am-10pm on Destination America.

Fast N’ Loud marathon — July 4 from 9am-12am on Discovery Channel.

2015 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog-Eating Contest — July 4 live at 12pm on ESPN2.

Sons of Liberty marathon — July 4 from 12pm-4:02am on History. History re-airs its recent miniseries that depicts that events leading to America’s independence from England.

Independence Day All Day marathon — July 4 from 1pm-1am on AMC. Four straight airings of the 1996 sci-fi flick Independence Day.

Lakefront Bargain Hunt marathon — July 4 from 1pm-8pm on HGTV.

NCIS marathon — July 4 from 1pm-11pm on USA Network.

The American Revolution marathon — July 4 from 8pm-2am on American Heroes Channel.

Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular — July 4 at 8pm ET/PT; hourlong encore at 10pm. Performers Ed Sheeran, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Flo Rida and Meghan Trainor help celebrate the nation’s birthday, with the event culminating in a 25-minute synchronized fireworks display. Willie Geist and Tamron Hall co-host.

A Capitol Fourth 2015 — July 4 at 8pm live on PBS; encore at 9:30pm. Celebrating 35 years on the air, this year’s special celebration of America’s birthday is hosted by Bradley Whitford and features performances from Barry Manilow, Alabama, Nicole Scherzinger, KC and the Sunshine Band and more. Robert Davi will pay tribute to Frank Sinatra in honor of the singer’s 100th birthday.

SharkFest 2015 — Begins July 5 at 8pm on Nat Geo Wild. The third annual event concentrates on the world¹s shark hot spots, diving into feeding frenzies and exploring the country’s top shark beaches
