  1. I will never understand how NBC SN can air all 21 stages of the Tour de France, air every award on the final stage, EXCEPT the most important one, the Final Yellow Jersey to the winner of the greatest sporting event of the year. The producer of the TdF should be fired. The person who said cut off coverage of the TdF for NASCAR should be fired. Or NBC SN should let another network air this event.

The only redeeming factor is the employment of Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwan. I will absolutely not watch if they are not commenting on the race. Bob Roll has grown on me. Christain Vandevelde did an excellent job. Todd Harris has a hard job, since the host seems to be replaced every other year.

My only other suggestion is don’t bring cyclist into the studio. They are not commentators.

  2. how stupid! I watched every stage thanks to NBC only to be disappointed. Crushed by a senseless management decision.

  3. I was unable to watch the women race live but was looking forward to seeing it on a second run, BUT NBC sports does not seem to think they need to get on the equality train and show the WOMEN RACE! Total bull shit! I heard it was a very good race too!

  4. I’ve had the honor or watching the Tour de France over the past ten years. And up till last year and this, the coverage has been remarkable and celebratory. Since nbcsn has taken over, the coverage has been dismal, diminished and dismissed such as cutting off even the final ceremonies in lieu of auto racing. Unbelievable discourteousness with regards to one of the most remarkable athletic feats achieved by man.

    • I totally agree; what a lousy end to a great month of cycling; All for Jeff Gordon for 1 hour before the race; By the way I like Nascar and Jeff Gordon, but it was a terrible move. 15 more minutes coverage would have been all it took. By the way NBCSN execs—Jeff Gordon just wrecked he’s out, the big story is over. THAT IS KARMA. And yes—I know I can watch the replay tonight—its not the same.

    • This was the worst coverage of the Tour I can remember. I live in Hawaii and there is a
big time difference, but we were watching either at 6 AM or 6 PM, it was irregular, the
commercials were obscene…..5 minutes of ads to 2 minutes of cycling yesterday, awful..
and TODAY….what were you thinking, the final day and you cut the closing ceremonies
for car racing which you have shoved down our throats for the past 2 weeks giving
presidence over cycling, shame on you NBC….I will be switching to a DVR for coverage next year
so that I may bypass your AD-nausea……this tour coverage was a nightmare.

FYI: you may want to consider Hawaii next time in your lineup of programs, we have 365 days
to cycle and ZERO car racing……..do yourselves a favor, Hawaii is part of the US….

  5. Apauling coverage by nbcsn. Of the Tour de France. Cutting off final ceremonies in lieu of sports car racing. The tour comes once a yeAr and this network coverage shows no respect for the greatness of such an athletic event. Shame on you. Unbelievably discourteous coverage over the entire tour. Not every one can stream it on Mobil devices. And those of us who have paid cable to watch have been disregarded and short changed.

    • I totally agree. After watching 21 days. They can not even complete the final presentations. Absolutely not acceptable 🙁

  6. Where was coverage of the Women’s race?
Very disappointing that the only mention I heard was how many women had accidents on the slick Paris roads.
Let’s get the women some real coverage and recognition!

    • I was asking the same question. Not being able to see the women race is a total let down. I did not hear anything about the women even results. I am getting more from Face Book!
