The news is out to the masses, Drill’s intentions are revealed and his friends pay a visit to fulfill their mission on The Whispers season one finale.

Drill took the president’s daughter Cassandra to give a signal, which was received. Claire questions Drill, who basically tells her she is dumb and has been given answers all along. He does give good tips when it comes to raising a child.

He says if parents paid more attention to their kids it wouldn’t have been so easy to corrupt them, as they are left alone with technology to babysit them. Drill tells Claire that she should be thanking him for giving her son Henry’s hearing back and saving husband Sean’s life. One has to be willing to sacrifice to win the game (Foreshadowing!). Drill then basically dissipates in Cassandra’s body.

The kids receive some sort of signal or calling. They leave their parents. Sean works with Ron Harcourt on a way to figure out the signal to communicate and comparing it to what was heard back in 1982. They are visited by mysterious adults who looked brainwashed. Turns out they were past generations of kids who first drank Drill’s Kool-Aid and now want to help him again.

They take Sean, but appear to have taken out poor Ron, who really lost both his sons to Drill. Claire is also brought in by other followers. Jessup’s love Tamara is among them and stuffs him in the trunk of a car. They  round up the one’s trying to foil the incoming visitors’ plan.

The decision-makers at the Department of Defense decide to shoot warheads and appear to have destroyed whatever was in space. They were wrong. Wes saves the day when he rescues Claire, Sean and Jessup not far behind. They find Henry, who is able to communicate to Claire that these alien beings aren’t here for the planet, but the children.

The beams of light appear across the world designated for each child. The cavalry set out for Minx in the woods with the help of Henry’s directions. They are too late. The light receives every child, but one. Before Henry could be abducted Claire shoves him out of the way and she ends up getting the one-way ticket to Alien Town. The show ends leaving viewers with the question of where the children went. I’m thinking it’s not Disney World.

I guess we can draw our own conclusions or not depending on what’s to come regarding the future of the show. The moral of the story is I guess to make time for your kids and pay attention to them or they may be taken by an alien force. Then you grow up old forced to live in a senior home with nobody to take care of you.
