On Sept. 8, 1965, Bert Campaneris of the Kansas City Athletics played all nine positions during a major league game vs. the California Angels. To celebrate 50 years since that event, HBO, Major League Baseball and Funny or Die partnered to have Will Ferrell play every position on the field for 10 different teams — visiting five different ballparks — on a single day of Spring Training. HBO captured Ferrell’s big day for the one-hour special Ferrell Takes the Field, premiering Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10pm ET/PT. Ferrell’s antics and errors are funny, but it’s the intense seriousness in which Ferrell goes about the day that makes this special hilarious.

Bill Maher, Jane Lynch recreate Weiner exchanges
By Tom Comi Follow @ChannelGuide If there was any doubt that Jane Lynch is currently one of the brightest stars in Hollywood, one needn’t look any further for proof than her recent appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher. While every other comedian was making the same old tired jokes about Congressman Anthony Weiner’s verbal sex exchanges with a Las Vegas blackjack dealer, Maher decided to use his cable platform — and Lynch’s deadpan delivery — to recreate the dirty talk line for line. And fortunately for those of you with HBO, you can see a replay tonight at 8pm […]
