When is the CBS Democratic Debate?

CBS will feature live, multi-platform coverage of the Democratic Debate on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9-11pm ET. The debate between candidates Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley will take place at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. This marks the first time this campaign season that a debate will air on a broadcast network. This is the second debate among the Democratic candidates for the 2016 presidential nomination.

Joining Face the Nation anchor and principal moderator John Dickerson as panelists will be CBS News Congressional Correspondent Nancy Cordes; Kevin Cooney, anchor of KCCI, the CBS affiliate in Des Moines; and the Des Moines Register‘s political columnist Kathie Obradovich.

CBSN, CBS News’ digital streaming news network, will offer a special 9pm ET stream of the debate, enhanced with real-time Twitter trends, instant reactions, curated tweets and other key information onscreen. CBSN’s coverage will be available to users across all leading digital platforms, including key connected TV devices, mobile devices and online. CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Major Garrett will kick off CBSN’s pre-debate coverage at 8pm ET, live from Drake University. Garrett will also anchor post-debate coverage at 11pm ET.

UPDATE 11/14/15: CBS News executives have majorly changed the focus of this debate in the wake of yesterday’s deadly attacks in Paris. The debate will now focus more on issues of national security, terrorism and foreign relations, with questions directly addressing the Paris attacks.

Prior to the debate, at 8pm ET, CBS will also air a one-hour special 48 Hours: Paris Under Attack, anchored by Norah O’Donnell. CBS EVENING NEWS Anchor and Managing Editor Scott Pelley will report on the attacks from Paris, along with a team of CBS News correspondents in Paris, Washington, D.C., New York and around the world. The special will include in-depth reports on the attacks, the politics of terrorism, security vulnerabilities, the latest U.S. intelligence, interviews with witnesses, and a profile of the U.S. band Eagles of Death Metal, which was playing at the Bataclan concert hall when the attacks occurred.
