Parents, your worst nightmare has officially arrived. With all of the prank shows on TV nowadays, it was only a matter of time before some network came up with a opportunity for kids to embarrass their folks nationally. And thanks to Disney Channel, that nightmare comes in the form of Code 9 (tonight, 7:30pm ET). I knew something was askew last week when my kids (ages 9 and 7) told me I had to sit down and watch “this cool new show” with them. They thought the idea of children making their mom and dad look silly was the funniest thing … Continue reading

In the festive flick — which premieres tonight at 8 on Disney Channel — the Duncan family embarks on a family vacation that despite everyone’s best intentions quickly turns positively Griswoldian, as the family becomes separated and must race to reunite … Continue reading
1. You’re at a magazine rack and can only pick three magazines. Which ones do you pick? Hmm, that’s hard. Probably Teen Vogue, Seventeen and something guilty pleasure, like US Weekly or one of those magazines. 2. If your TV only aired three shows, which three would you want? True Blood. Community. (In the background, to boyfriend Matt Prokop, “Three shows from the tv, babe?”) And Workaholics. 3. What has been your strangest celebrity encounter? Probably when I went up to J.J. Abrams because I was the biggest Lost fan, and he knew who I was and was a fan … Continue reading

By Tom Comi For those of you who will for one reason or another be up at 4 am ET tomorrow with no desire whatsoever to watch the Royal wedding, we here at Channel Guide Magazine have you covered. For every network that is covering the over-hyped vows, there are countless others that are offering a potpourri of programming choices. With that in mind, here is what we are officially deeming our “Un-Royal Best Bets,” which is subjective at best when you consider that all of these shows are airing just after midnight on the West Coast and shortly before … Continue reading
by Karl J. Paloucek This past Wednesday, the nominations went out for the 37th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, which is where a lot of the kids’ shows get recognized.
