History’s Alone Season 3 Starts in December With a New Location

(UPDATED 12/7/16) History’s hit survival series Alone will return with a new season in December. Alone Season 3 begins Thursday, Dec. 8, at 9pm ET/PT. The new season will be tag-teamed with History’s new series The Selection: Special Operations Experiment, which will air Thursdays at 10pm ET /PT beginning after the Alone Season 3 premiere on Dec. 8. I met Kent Knapp at a block party in downtown Milwaukee last month. Milwaukee Blacksmith’s mobile set is a regular feature at festivals in the area. A crowd formed in awe around the blacksmiths hammering and twisting hot metal. Kent, tattoo-clad and enjoying one of the city’s finest beverages, handed me a slip of paper. “We offer classes if you’re interested,” he said. “The School of Iron,” advertised on the paper, was created because there’s so much interest in the craft around town. Kent Knapp is a family man first and foremost, then a blacksmith and walking encyclopedia of Milwaukee history. He also plays a mean bass in a local blues band. Kent and his wife Shannon own Milwaukee Blacksmith, a small business hidden on Erie Street in the city’s Historic Third Ward.
