And it will be legen — wait for it — dary, as the actor/song-and-dance man guest stars as Music Meister on the Oct. 23 episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold on Cartoon Network. While the show usually highlights an obscure, often downright silly villain from the Dark Knight’s 70-year career (Kite Man, anyone? How about Clock King?), Harris will play a wholly original character called Music Meister, who uses his booming, Broadway-ready voice to bring people under his spell. That would explain why you’ll see Aquaman slow-dancing with Gorilla Grodd.

A soundtrack for “Mayhem of the Music Meister” will be released digitally on Oct. 24, and hard copies will also be available at Amazon.com.

Synopsis: Since Barney hasn’t exactly been a boyfriend in a while, it’s no surprise that he’s bad at it. He’s unsupportive and he’s so used to not sleeping over that he tries sleepwalking his way down the fire escape to get away from Robin. Luckily, Ted knows everything there is to know about Robin — or at least he thinks he does — and he needs to practice his teaching. So Barney enrolls in Robin 101: How to Date Robin Scherbatsky, taught by none other than Professor Mosby.

Unfortunately for Barney, the study sessions are about as successful as Marshall’s attempts to find a taker for his beloved barrel, Mabel, and Robin finds out about the whole thing. [Read more →]

Synopsis: This episode tells the story of two blind dates taken by Ted seven years apart. Although it might as well have been one, since the dates were the same in every way: same restaurant, same conversation, same girl. Despite the familiarity, neither Ted nor his date Jen (played by guest star Lindsay Sloane, who we love) realize what’s going on until halfway through the evening. Once they realize that they’ve lapped the whole dating field, they decided to give each other insight that might help them avoid the dating mistakes that have kept them single since 2002. For instance, Ted makes bad jokes, points out spelling errors on menus and has a wandering eye (even if it only wants to sneak a peek at Mustache Marshall). Jen talks too much about her cats, doesn’t offer to pay the check and shares every detail about her ex-boyfriend except for the fact that he has a shockingly small wiener. Also, Ted doesn’t always call when he says he will. That’s only because he believes it’s worth waiting for a person who loves his quirks rather that trying to tolerate them. Synopsis: Two big events are taking place as we catch up with the HIMYM gang: Ted’s first day of school and “the talk.” Well, the first one’s happening. After dating all summer, Barney and Robin tried to have the talk but the talk sucks. While they’re fine with putting it off, Lily isn’t. She tries everything she can to force them into defining their relationship.

When even a date between Robin and Brad — and a Kiss Cam punch by a jealous and very overmatched Barney — fails to do the trick, she locks them in a room together. In the end, they decide to lie about being boyfriend and girlfriend in exchange for their freedom, but Lily gets the last laugh when it becomes obvious that they’re only lying to themselves. Synopsis: Remember the episode from last season titled “The Goat”? Well, this week’s season finale tells the story of Ted’s 31st birthday party — the one he kept confusing with his previous birthday party in that episode. It would be easy to mix them up, since Marshall decided to throw him two consecutive surprise parties. At this one, the biggest surprise is that Barney loves Robin. OK, so nobody is actually surprised to hear that, except Robin who overhears Barney describing her to Ted as a Canadian suit in a deliberately delivered metaphor.

Synopsis: When we last saw Ted, he was standing on a street corner in the rain, and he had just been tapped on the shoulder by Stella. That’s where we pick things up in this episode, where we find out that Stella’s former and current boyfriend, Tony, is on the corner, too. Ted plays it cool. On the spectrum of ways he could have handled things, he’s much closer to having a French girlfriend who looks exactly like Stella but with enormous cans than he is to being a blubbering mess. Or so he thinks. Later, at his apartment, while he’s fantasizing about Stella showing up and saying, “Let’s get back together and have way more sex than before,” Ted gets a visit from Tony — who is, for some reason, wearing his kung fu pajamas. It seems Tony has mistaken Ted’s “jovial nonchalance” for sadness. The type of sadness that reminds him of a dachshund puppy with a bad back that’s got to pull itself around on a cart, in fact. And Tony simply can’t live with the guilt that he has reduced Ted to that state by stealing Stella from him.

Synopsis: Ted has landed his first big gig as an independent architect: designing Rib Town, a restaurant shaped like a cowboy hat — because nothing says delicious like the inside of a cowboy hat. Depressed that he’s not designing concert halls or museums, he takes a break and heads out for some fresh air and a bagel. Thanks to fate (and Galoshes the Weather Clown from Robin’s show Come On, Get Up New York!) he takes a yellow umbrella. Check that … the yellow umbrella.

On the way to his second favorite bagel place, Ted stops at a newspaper stand, (we assume) to check out the current issue of Bro’s Life magazine, in which one can read such stunning exposés as “What Your Paintball Gun Says About Your Personality” and “That Last Five Pounds — How To Get Her To Lose Them.” Also featured this month is Petra Petrova, Bro’s Life’s Girl of the Year for May and soon to be Barney’s 200th. It sounds impressive, but Barney’s batting average is actually worse than one-armed former Major League pitcher Jim Abbott. Due to a miscalculation, though, Barney’s 200th actually ends up being a musclebound woman from his gym named Pauline, whom Ted gets a glimpse of while perusing Muscle Sexxy magazine.

Synopsis: Ted has just met a girl named Holli and he wants to call her just moments after she leaves MacLaren’s. He thinks it would be cute, but Barney and Marshall — and apparently Jesus — want him to wait the appropriate three days before calling. It’s the Three Days Rule, which, according to Barney, Christ created right before inventing the high five. Ted tries to establish his own “I Like Her, I Call Her” rule, but let’s just say that Ted is no Jesus. Barney and Marshall make him promise that he won’t call Holli until three days have passed. They didn’t, however, say anything about sending a “texty text,” so Ted lets his thumbs do the talking.
